Collection removed from credit?

Hello fico friends. Just went to the new credit karma site. And saw the new layout of course scores useless. But I don't know what to think of all this. I log in and it says. My collection was removed from my report. No where to be seen. Gone. Wala. My one and only baddie. 5 years old. Paid in full. Can this be true? Checked my actual report. No where to be seen. At least on ck. no change in fico as I just got this info 5 mins ago. Any advice as how to chevk for sure. Would be nice to have a complete clean report.  Thanks all.

If the bureau doesn't have it, it doesn't have it.  If you did something wierd to get it removed it might come back... but if you were just hanging out, could be gone.  In my experience none of the FICO monitoring products will catch a removal of a derogatory, but if you were to pull a single report or just wait for a balance change it should be reflected on that.

I know looking at my own collections that the DOFD is before the date the collection is placed in my case (DOFD 2009 collection placed late 2010, and TU has an estimated 2016 drop off date as a result) which is maybe what happened here?

Or if it's Equifax, well, sometimes they delete negative information (like my albatross tax lien years early) in addition to the positive closed tradelines everyone complains about Smiley Happy.

Well i havent actually pulled a real credit report. this is transunion according to credit karma. that says. since your last update since jan 17th a collection as been removed. when i look at the report there. i see nothing. this collection is from 2010. from brighthouse network when i moved. what a wasted way to get a baddie on the credit. 1 and only thing there.

anyway. i was not very vigilant in checking my credit until early 2014. I have made absolutely every payment on time on everything since about 2009. damn cable bill slipped by. anyway. i went to walmart to see if fico changed. and it had not. earlier in the year i was writing the hell out of brighthouse as i know im a model customer. pay bill soon as i receive it. no delay. alwways in full. but since it was paid already. no pay for delete. because i already paid bill soon as i found out i had it. so they have no motivation to remove it from my report. im just gonna cancel my service with them soon. this is scheduled to be removed in 2017. as it was on my file since sep 2010. i don't know what else to do since good will is not working.

but if this is true from credit karma. as they said. my score should go up. i will dance in the street to have completely clean report. if there is any way i can find out. im thinking i did get a denial on the ebates credit card a month ago. is it possible to pull my report based on that? from transunion directly. don't know how to go about doing that. and no. i did not do anything weird. like b or something like that. i was just going to ride it out. until it fell off.

Re: Collection removed from credit?

My still open tax lien vanished from my Experian report recently. I have no idea why, but I'm not complaining. It's still in the other two.

Re: Collection removed from credit?

You could do that regarding the rejection, or pull from annual credit reports, or if there was something you needed to dispute anyway typically you get access to a limited version of the report I think for both EQ and TU.  EX is awkward for so many reasons.

Congrats Captool on that lien disappearance, wish my Cali state lien would up and vanish haha.

Re: Collection removed from credit?

It's common for a bureau to delete negative info prior to expiration- they just don't have to. I would run a three-bureau report and cross-check. If it disappeared from all three, then the creditor had it removed or it timed out. If it only was removed from one bureau, then it could just be that particular bureau having removed it unrelated to the creditor. Hope that helps.

Re: Collection removed from credit?

As always, you can verify by pulling your report directly from the CRA to rule out any mistakes on CK's part.

According to ck. it was removed on transunion between the 17-and yesterday. Score did not change. So I'm not sure. I'm hoping.

Re: Collection removed from credit?

If you just upgraded to the new version, that may be the issue. The reports were all wacky after I got the new site. Once they did the actual weekly pull, it went back to normal.
Overall, it showed up as all of my accounts being deleted, and all of my accounts being added to my reports.

Re: Collection removed from credit?

It took 2 updates for my new report to get right.  (first one way HORRIBLY wrong, 2nd one was a very low score and this latest update is comparable to my other report and score)

It may very well be gone.  Experian's removed one of my collections early, about 4 months.

If it doesnt pop up in the next update I think its probably gone.  Kind of nice!

And to be sure?  annualcreditreport.com for your yearly freebie credit reports and yeah you can get free reports with denials.  Each credit agency is different, some want the the company name of who denied you some what a little more info.

I didnt have any trouble getting my free report from being denied, you just go to the credit reporting site, find the link for I was denied and am entitled to a free report, fill out the info and viola!

EXPERIAN

personal

consumer assistance

denied credit, request your experian report

EQUIFAX

personal solution

customer service

denied credit or entitled to a free report

TRANSUNION
I am at work, didnt have time to find it Smiley Sad

*edit*

nevermind found trans union, its not easy to find Smiley Sad
