Hello everyone! Im new and Ive read so many of these forums in the last month or so that I feel like I know some of you. I've always been good with my credit and as of late Ive been hittin it hard because I want to secure an auto loan with my CU.
Anyway, my question for who ever can answer is as follows. I have an account in collection that was due to identity theft almost 6 years ago and its being reported on EXP and EQ but the funny thing is I sent a DV to the collection agency but then I disputed it on both EXP and EQ a few days later. Well when I first did the dispute the collection account was there, but a few days later they sent the results of the investigation and I noticed it wasnt there anymore. Now other items were still being disputed but the collection that was reported on EXP was completely gone. I havent ordered an update record of my CR but does anyone know what could of happened that it happened that way and so quick at that. All answers would be appreciated.
