Collector and Creditor

I need some advice. My original creditor reported the charged off account to the credit bureaus. It is listed in the following manner:

CREDIT ONE BANK
ACCOUNT NUMBER
CONDITION: DERoGaTORY,
BALANCE: $654
Pay Status: Collection/Chargeoff
Opened: 04/19/2006
Reported: 07/13/2007

The creditor sold it to a COLLECTOR 1, who later on sold it again to COLLECTOR 2. Collector 2 received partial payment from me and reported the account separately. I ended up having two entries, which pertain to the same account. The collector 2 reported it and was shown in my report in this manner:

COLLECTOR's NAME

Creditor Name: COLLECTOR's NAME
Account No.: ******
Original Creditor: 08 CREDIT ONE BANKN A
Responsibility: Individual
Condition: Derogatory
Original Balance: ORIGINAL AMOUNT
Balance: BALANCE LESS PAYMENT
Date Opened: 08/01/2007
Date Reported: 10/15/2007

Which account should stand and which one should be deleted? BTW, I complained to the COLLECTOR's attorney and reported their FDCPA violations. I documented all of their violations and the attorney agreed to forgive the whole balance. I asked that their report to the CRA be deleted. The attorney agreed. He only asked me that I send them release of liability and a promise that I will not pursue the case in court.

How will this affect my credit report. Currently the balance in my COLLECTOR's entry + ORIGINAL BALANCE reported by the original creditor are included in my total balance. I believe both should be deleted, but i dont know how to go about it.

This is the only problem I have in my credit report. Everything else was paid.

Thank You.

Re: Collector and Creditor

I just cashed the check they sent me and signed the release of liabilities.

I just hope that they will delete the duplicate entry in my credit report.
