Confirming exact date that creditors report to bureaus

Can each bureau (Equifax, TransUnion, Experian) or FICO provide a summary of specific dates when each creditor actually reports a clients standing? For example, What date each month does my credit card company report my current balance? I'm trying to find a simple way other than contacting EACH creditor one by one... you NEVER get the same answer from the same company! This seems like a VERY simple report to pull as the data already exists.

There is no way to get this info as an absolute. Typically the creditors will report within a few days of statement cut and others report at the end of the month. Credit Karma will give you info on the last date of receiving updated information but it may or may not be on the same day every month.

Re: Confirming exact date that creditors report to bureaus

I had to call each one. I got the statement cut date and the due date. I make my payment a few days before my cut date and don't use that card for a few days after the cut date. I've had great success in reporting zero balances. I try and only let 1 report a small balance

Amex fluctuates their dates out of my cards. So that's the one I typically let report.

Re: Confirming exact date that creditors report to bureaus

I think Gdale's recomendation to use Karma is good.

Here what I did.  I made a spreadhseet that listed all my accounts.  I then added a column that indicated when the account was opened and another column for when the creditor reports to the credit bureau.

I then printed out my EQ and TU reports at the beginning of every month.  I used the first printout to get my baseline dates and and then each following month double checked it.  My BOA card for example always reported on exactly the same day.  My Amex card reported between the 20th and 23rd.  Etc.  In a few months you should have a good sense of when all your accounts are reporting.

No but you can look at the last report date on your reports.  While some accounts may perform a midcycle update there's a good chance that the last report date is the reports date for the account.

If your account reports on statement date then you can look at statement date.

As suggested above you can always call your creditors to confirm.

Don't conflate "can differ" and "never the same".  Report date is a known value for your account that can be referenced by the CSR.

Another alternative is to search prior discussions to see when the creditors you use report.  If you list them here we can provide feedback as well.

It's really not the big deal you seem to be making out of it even if you don't want to call each of your creditors.  I've never called and asked an I know the report dates for all 13 of my cards using the other methods mentioned.

Anytihng that one does not understand seems simple.  I've stated above why there are caveats to relying on last report date on reports.

Re: Confirming exact date that creditors report to bureaus

if you dont have a history of six months for each card usage (meaning there was a charge & you paid and it got reported). if there is no activity,  reporting occurs pretty much the same day every month. (even if its sunday/holiday/weekend).

also, CK and monitoring companies send daily reports you can check and i believe a "last reported date" is listed for that account. That should be your previous months reporting date and if you dont have updates of the current month on creditkarma or monitoring sites then its just not reported yet.

i have found there is a upto 5-6 days gap between payment due date & reporting to credit bureaus date.
