Contract worker and loans

I work as a temporary through a staffing agency. Will banks look down on this as if I don't have a "real job" when I apply for a loan?

Re: Contract worker and loans

Technically, wouldn't you be employed via the staffing agency? I remember working nearly 2 years for Manpower and was issued employment checks by them and I claimed that I worked for them.

Now through employment verification, you may run into problems if the agency tells the lender that you only worked for 16 months of the past 2 yrs, for example. However, if you were employed for a long duration then it can easily be proven via pay stubs (keep 'em).

Thanks for that reply. Yes, I am paid by the staffing agency. And I have had steady work. My concern is that a bank will wonder if I will continue to be employed into the future, since the job is temporary. Thanks again, I will keep my pay stubs.
