Crawling

Yes, I love this board!  I started out in Feb of this year with a 535 score, then crawed up to 590 then down to 588.  I see progress all around my good effects with reading this board at least 4 to 5 times a day.  Well, yesterday in the mail I received a credit card offer from Capitol One, I paid them off on a charge off this past Jan for the amount of 180.XX.  Now, they are offering me another chance with 0% APR for 1yr and $36 annual fee with a credit limit of $300 (crawling), as long as I pay on time and late no more then 3 times.  I have done an excellent job with my Tribute Card - started with a $300 limit minus fees and now my credit line is up to $550.00 woo woo!  I have learned my credit lessons the hard way and now I know how important it is to pay your bills on time.  I would like to thank everyone on this board and the money I spend for the month fee for Score Watch is the best investment I have made so far.  I have promised my self to pay the Capitol One card on time every month and to keep my balance low very low.  Now, I need to work on my gas bill which is at $300.00 and I will have one of the two cars in my name paid off next December.  I am working with my daughter co-signer on the other car in my name to get her credit straight and get a loan for the car in her name only (wish me luck).

Re: Crawling

Excellent work, Connie. Keep it up, before you know it you will be receiving all kinds of offers in the mail. Get your TU to around 590-600 and you might want to try for a Hooters MC - they are rather generous with CL's.

Re: Crawling

Good luck, especially on trying to get your daughters car in her name. I signed for my sister to get a car and am still feeling the burns on that deal--never again for me!

Re: Crawling

Connie, you are taking charge of your credit life and improving its health. Congratulations!

I too came out of my "credit coma", with the knowledge I've gained from this forum.

It's a good feeling isn't it?
