Credit Check Total Inquiries Disappearing?

I've noticed in the past month that a lot of inquiries have been disappearing from my CCT Inquiries section. For instance, all of my auto inquiries have disappeared from my EQ and TU. AMEX inquiry off of EQ and TU, Cingular and Sprint off of EQ. And nothing has changed on my EX. Now my current count on inquiries is EX: 18, EQ: 6, TU: 1 as opposed to 2 months ago it was EX: 18, EQ: 17, TU: 8. Keep in mind that all of these inquiries are within 2 years.

Has anyone noticed such odd thing?

My understanding is that inquiries that count towards your FICO scoring are only those that have been placed within the last year. Inquiries do remain on your report for a full two years, however.

I believe that the inquiries drop off altogether at the two year mark, but perhaps the CRA's are dropping the ones that don't count anymore?

Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable on this will chime in, but I've noticed some changes too, and that was the only explanation I could think of.

Anyone, anyone??

P.S. Saw a possible reason here (or at least a similar situation)

TU and EQ have some "unstable" platforms and INQs will disappear from them. Members here have been told flat out that this is the reason that TC has ceased from offering daily pulls on reports other than TU. It's been happening for years.
