I still pay for both... $20 for myFICO and $15 for CCT. I have paid for almost 2 years and am waiting for myFICO to improve but it doesn't seem to be happening. At near 1 billion revenue per year and only 2500 employees, Fair Isaac is basically just plain greedy not to deliver quality products for our $$$. 3 1/2 days for an alert... $60 for reports and scores... pffff... "cha-ching". I love myFICO but at this rate... Fico scoring may be eaten up by the next big player. Maybe Vantage.
I keep writing these lovely product reviews, but to no avail.
Thank you, everyone, for your feedback on this.
I noticed that my score on CCT is only updating weekly, and since I am right in the thick of my rebuild I would like to see a daily score. Needless to say, I signed back up for myFICO today and will try getting CCT to lower the cost in a few days before my trial ends, as suggested on here. If they won't lower it, then I may just contend with a quarterly report and frequent score updates here at myFICO.
$20.00 is a good price compared to my $30.00. Also with that portfolio you have, you should be with the stars. Ha Ha! Looking good. I am rebuilding while in ch13.
Ask "Grace" for patience. Although I like to see the monthly with CCT, MyFICO quarterly reports give you room for a bandaid if needed. Besides doing very good allows you to be surprised when you see those good results.
is it $14.95 for just EX?

I love CCT because my Exp score updates daily. Sign up for the $1 trial, then on day 7, call to cancel. When they ask you why, tell them the $29.95 per month is too much. They'll offer you $14.95 a month to stay on.
@Anonymous wrote:Are the scores actual FICO scores as advertised?
They can't call them FICO's if they're not FICO's. FICO is a registered trademark and FICO scores are products of the Fair Isaac Corporation. Other companies can't just make up a new scoring model and call it a FICO. Make sure you consider the specific scoring model when referencing any score. Many sites have info on the scoring model on the site. This is on CCT's homepage:
Credit score calculated based on FICO Score 8 model
As pointed out above, if all you need/want are FICO 8's then CCT's as good as any other source for a FICO 8. A FICO 8 is a FICO 8. However, if you need other FICO models then CCT is the wrong tool for the job.
@Anonymous wrote:Besides that, Experian scores are sometimes updated a few days myFICO does.
People need to keep in mind the myFICO is trigger based. CCT is not. CCT has set intervals. Those relying on myFICO need to be aware of the triggers (and what is not a trigger) as not all activity with a scoring impact is a trigger.
@Revelate wrote:Why is everyone suddenly bashing VantageScore?
Suddenly? This has been going on for a very long time. A lot of people tend to rely on broad, sweeping generalizations and people on various credit sites repeatedly post memes like "Vantagescores are useless". "rely on FICO", etc. What's a newcomer to think when bombarded with posts saying stuff like that?
People should consider the relevance of the specific scoring model and CRA to a given creditor/product when referring to any score. While most creditors use a FICO model and FICO 8 is the most commoly used model it is not used for all creditors/products. However, it's much easier to rely on "FICO reliable", "FAKO useless", etc. The reality isn't quite so simple though.

FICO isn't going to change based on your reviews. It's all about what the masses do. They have plenty of consumers like you that continue to buy their product as-is so why should they change? Discussion forum industry analysts on various topics seem to tend to assume that company A has to follow company B to succeed but that's not necessarily how the real world works. The company has to see potential benefit from the change. Additionally, FICO's real customers are the creditors. We're just a secondary market.

Worth is always highly subjective. I don't use either though I've used both in the past. It is possible to have the full picture without scores with enough knowledge. However, there are certainly plenty who find scores to be a useful tool. As with any subjective matter, it's up to each to determine the worth of each option.

Nope. It's the same offering as full price. See also:

Credit check total does not do a daily update during the trial. You only get the one time report. As a regular subscriber you get daily EX updates and once a month 3 bureau.

Yea it doesnt update daily during the trial. Once the trial was over EX updates daily. It even updated twice in one day for me because something changed. I would recommend it. I get to see all three scores and reports monthly. You also get alerts if anything changes on your reports throughout the month.
I like the service provided by Credit Check Total. Initially the service is $29.95 but if you call and want to cancel they will offer it to you at a cheaper price. I was able to get my service with Credit Check Total $14.95 for 1 yr. I'm so glad they are a company that are willing to save their customers and keep them happy. I definitely recommend their services.
