Credit Freezes (NEW INFORMATION)

Here is an update with the new upcoming credit freezes. This will not affect credit monitoring with TrueCredit, Myfico, annualcreditreport, or any other monitoring services. It specifically locks new creditors out. Existing and current creditors thtatyou already have accounts with will have no affect. However if a current creditor of yours needs to do a review and pull a new report you will have to unlock it. If you are applying for new credit with any current creditor you will ahve to unlock it as well.

I also read that this won't affect CAs. They will still be able to make hard pulls. Any confirmation on this?

They will need to be a current lender to pull hards-

Even if coded with "Collection purpose" they do not have PP.

What's the difference between a freeze and a fraud alert?

FA- The creditor is legal required to verify your identity . A Freeze only allows your current creditors access to your reports w/o your permission.
