Credit Karma

Anyone ever have any issues with Credit Karma as far as active tradelines not showing up?  I have a total of 4 credit cards, and my CapOne card is no where to be found.

Re: Credit Karma

I never had that problem with CK until this week, when they deleted then reinstated one of my cards for no reason. I'd watch and see if that CapOne comes back soon.

Have you had the CapOne for a while and had it reporting before, or is it new and maybe not reporting to the CRAs yet?

Re: Credit Karma

I've had the card for ten years.  Shows up on the free annual reports I get from the credit reporting agencies and every other place I've pulled reports, but today is the first time I've ever used Credit Karma.

Re: Credit Karma

I'd check again next week when you're entitled to a second pull. If it's not there then, I'd contact CK customer support.

In light of the experience I just had with them dropping and restoring one of my cards I'd say it could be a glitch. If it happens twice, then it's not a glitch.

Re: Credit Karma

I know creditkarma is free, but are the scores they present accurate?

@megaman

No, scores provided by CK are FAKOs based on your TransRisk Score. CK does not take closed TLs into account when calculations your AAOA and thus your CS may be affected.

Even with FICO scoring, accuracy is going to depend on the specific model used by the specific creditor in question.

Re: Credit Karma

I've found that my CK scores have been very close to my FICOs, within 10 points or less. This isn't always the case. Other people here have reported 100 point differences between CK and FICO. I think that if your report is clean and you don't have a lot of closed accounts (which CK doesn't count), the scores are likely to be similar. If your report is complicated or you have a lot of closed accounts contributing to your FICO AAoA, there's more chance of CK being way off.
