Credit report ?

I have a few accounts which were part of a chpt 7 , still showing as Chargeoffs, instead of  iib,  I disputed them with Eqifax , they claim the credit responded that there is no error ,  Chase reported these to Transunion correctly, but equifax wrong.   Are the chargeoffs causing points off my credit score or not?

If the charge-off was taken prior to discharge of BK, the reporting of the CO would not be inaccurate.  It occured.

The balance owed on the OC account should now report $0 due to discharge of the debt.  It is the debt that is discharged, not their prior actions related to the debt.

Thanks for responding, all my 9 negatives were chargoffs b4 i filed chptr 7 due to a lawsuit.  6 of the 9 negatives are showing Included in bankruptcy , 3 are showing Chargeoffs, but all have zero bal.   These are amost 6 yrs old now , I am wondering if they account for points off my score now since they are so old .   They should drop off next year.

Since FICO has never published the degree to which major derogs decline in impact with age, it is hard to say.

Some on the site report that they see little aging impact, while others see a more signiicant impact.

It seems to be a more general consensus that impact is more related to finally being free of all major derogs than on the impact of one when other major derogs remain.
