Credit reports - source quality, format, requirements, etc.

Hello all,

TL;DR - (A) looking for complete 3B reports comparable to paper reports from CRA and (B) cellphone not required

September 2020 I mailed the paper request form from annualcreditreport.com to obtain reports from the big three. I did not include any additional documents with the request. I promptly received Experion and TransUnion reports but never a report from Equifax. I submitted an inquery online at annualreditreport.com and got in the mail a reply that I could try again online but they no longer had the data to research the issue for me.

Later I tried online and was only able to obtain the Experion report of the three requests. EQ is particularly odd since it references a " retail card, opened in or around July 2018" and an "auto loan/lease, opened in or around July 2018" -- which both would be "NONE OF THE ABOVE" and then a final question relating to the auto loan/lease.

The TU problem might be related to my mailing Vs residential address response. I've used a mailing address for several years which differs from the residential, however I noticed the mailing address was only recently included in my personal data when I got my first CL using the mailing address in 2020.

Anyhow, I like the detail of the mailed reports I obtained, the online versions, not so much.

Can anyone recommend an online report source which is comparable to the printed in detail and format?

The myFICO 3B subscription reports are not well suited for my needs so I am looking to apply the cost elsewhere for more detailed reports.

I've toyed with the online venues from the credit agencies directly but they have various snags that make me abort the process.

EG: I don't have a mobile phone (EQ) and their questions are imaginary or about fraudulent activity I am unaware of.

..I'm kind of a drone with providing info, I didn't try giving my landline for their mobile phone request.

Does anyone know EQ would function if I were to substitute the phone#?

I don't particularly mind sending documents via USPS to verify my identity but would prefer to be able to submit that stuff online when making the effort to get online access to the reports.

I just managed to fumble through the automated phone 3B request at annualcreditreport.com, but I suspect it will be EX and TU at best.

My calls to EQ was insane, it's as if their voice recognition system was always triggering for no reason and if not restarting the options list it'd just disconnect.

Thanks!
