I believe it means Capital One Finance, but I may be mistaken.

It is the Nasdaq abbreviation for Capital One.

Some people use stock ticker symbol as vernacular.

As an example, I used to work at STI.

Ok.  I think the lower case o threw me.  I usually think of that as an "of" like in BoA.

I have been checking daily because my Vantage scores are obscenely low (about 100 points lower than Fico).

That's interesting...it's usually the opposite. Vantage is not as "strict" as FICO, at least that has been my experience.
