DV Confusion

Hi, I understand the basic process of sending a DV via mail(certified with return receipt) and that the CA has 30 days from the time of receiving it to validate the debt, or cease reporting to a CR. My question is if they fail to validate how do you get this off your CR? Does a dispute take it off, or are they just not allowed to update the original reporting? Also how do you get addresses to send to? It seems most of my CA's are P.O Boxes. Thanks

Re: DV Confusion

1.  Send them a stronger DV letter and dispute with CRA (if it's really incorrect)
2.  If it comes back verified DV OC.
3.  Google can be a great friend, although i found a lot of CA hiding in yellowbook.com that google never found.
4.  Just diputing wont make them go away, but DV, PFD, MOV and a close post office will.

Good Luck

Send them to the address on your CR - po box is ok.

If they do not answer within 30 days....you can dispute with CRAs and see if they drop......there is another letter to send to them giving them 15 days to answer or delete ( ITS)

Re: DV Confusion

Thanks all, I have several CA's that I have tried to get into contact with that simply refuse to answer. Hopefully a DV will get somewhere with them, and ultimately get them to agreeing to a PFD or getting a CRA to drop them.
