Does it match any of the ones from the ILL database.

What Timothy is asking is this: On your credit report, what address (city & state) is listed for Credit Management (the CA at issue)? Timothy listed 4 companies with the name of "Credit Management" and all 4 are/were registered in IL. If the city & state listed in your CR doesn't match any of the cities and states listed in his prior post, then likely they are not registed at all in IL. Am I on track here, Timothy?

Are any of the letters from the CA (you did save them, right?) showing a return address on them? We ain't talking about YOUR address, we're talking about the address of the CA. That will clue you in about whether they are licensed in your state or not.

I see  The collection is not on my cp.  All of the letters that I received from CMI have a Texas address.  I used to live in Texas when I had the cable bill but now I live in The Chi.  I believe their corporate headquarters are in Dallas, TX.

Furthermore, since I now live in IL are you stating that CMI cannot collect on the bill because they are not licensed in IL?
