DV question

I have located a fax number for a CA that I previously sent a DV to.  It has been at least a month and I haven't heard anything yet.  Can I DV by fax?  If they do not respond within 30 can I use the confirmation from the fax to submit to the CRA for deletion?

Re: DV question

No need to DV them again. They aren't required to respond within 30 days. They aren't required to respond EVER. What they ARE required to do is stop attempting to collect on the account until they have provided validation.

I have one old credit card account that has been through three different collection agencies. Each time I DV an agency, I never hear from them again, but a couple of months later I get a call from a new agency that now has the account. So I guess a lot of agencies take the DV as a sign that you are going to be "difficult" to collect from, and send the account back to the OC.

Re: DV question

IMO......sending a fax to a CA is the same as trying to talk to them!   If they do not answer the DV you can.....send the secount DV which is putting them on notice....or dispute with the CRA with the NO answer letter...and with the dispute send copies of the DV letter...GG and cert.paper. You would ask the CRAs to delete!
