Date of Last Activity?

Greetings!

My questions is, if I have a derogatory account on my CR and it is scheduled for seven years in say two months.......and I decide to dispute it.......do I ruin my fall off date because I initiated activity?  Will it remain for another seven years from last activity??

NO   drop off is DOFD and does not change....unless it is PUBLIC RECORDS.

A tax lien  clock starts over when it is paid

If you are talking about a CC or loan...nothing will start the clock over.

You can dispute & CRA MIGHT just delete if the drop date is soon. You never know with them.

You can also call & ask CRA what the drop date is.
