Difference in reports normal?

Good morning!

MyFico Experian report is showing inaccurate payment history for Experian but when I pulled the report via annualcreditreport.com, everything is reported correctly.

Is there anything I can do about this? Is this normal? I thought it would be the same.

Was there a recent change?

Anecdotally the annualcreditreport is gold standard because if it isn't right the bureaus can get in trouble legally so it is the freshest set of data.  This is also the same set of data lenders absolutely get.

The infrastructure for the various consumer-facing CMSes is a little different, namely without having actually seen their infrastructure documentation I'm pretty sure it's not quite the same data source (replicated data set) and it's not always completely synchronized when tradelines update for things like disputes and internal tradeline history.

We saw this with Transunion mostly but it wouldn't surprise me if it affects some others.  Might be worth pulling the freebie Experian CMS and looking at it's report and seeing if it's right, but I'd just feedback it to myFICO support historically they appreciate that to find and address the synchonization problem.

Re: Difference in reports normal?

Thank you for that answer! I pulled annualcredit today. It's accurate. I recently filed bankruptcy and the accounts say, "included in bankruptcy/never late" which is right.

On myfico, which I paid for about 3 weeks ago, it says "bankruptcy, other derog" and shows 90+ day lates for EVERY account. No account was ever late before filing. The end result is on myFico, my correct reports are showing scores in the mid 600s while myfico Experian is 590s.

I just want to repair what's wrong so I can rebuild correctly.

Re: Difference in reports normal?

Typically, what you're getting from ACR is the latest and greatest and with a paid EX account, the report is also pulled instantly.

The others may not be capturing the data instantaneously and the updates to different CB's happen at different times.

You'll go crazy chasing comments and dates so to your point, stick to the ACR reports, focus on those updates and create your rebuild around the needs based on that reporting...not comments.  Those can vary...good luck.  Ultimately, with time your rebuild will come together and as the bad ages out, the new good accounts will help aging forward
