Discover GW Response quesiton?

Part of my letter from Discover Dated August 13, 2007 states:

"Once an account has had no activity for a period of time, the account purges from our system".

"We have deleted this account from your credit file, as we were unable to verify your dispute and do not what to adversely affect your credit history"

My question is because this account still shows on my credit reports a full month after their letter to me, should I write a dispute letter to the account CRB's or do I need to give Discover another month to remove this account?

Good question I had not thought about. I originally just wanted it removed, but if I could get the 20 something derogs removed, it could change to a positive TL.

I really don't need the history, and the most important thing is all the lates (up to 150 Days) be removed but no clean TL is a bad TL Your response has me thinking of my options. Thanks Change that "Sows Ear" TL into a Silk Purse.

I would start with a "Never late" dispute.

If this somehow fails-
Mail copy of letter with a dispute certified to the CRA>
