Yesterday CK notified of TU hard pull:
"Between Mar 19, 2025 and Mar 20, 2025, an inquiry made by DISCOVER FIN was added to your credit report."
Then CK notified me it was reversed:
"Between Mar 19, 2025 and Mar 20, 2025, the inquiry made by DISCOVER FIN was removed from your credit report."
I have 2 Discover cards and a Discover personal loan, all in good standing. Spoke to reps in both depts but nothing was found to explain what or why about a hard pull. I immediately froze the 3 CB's.
Also to mention I have 3 Cap1 cards - QS Visa, QS MC, Kohl's Visa. My spouse mentioned maybe it's related to some kind of behind scene acquisition prep activity? Past few months C1 has been hounding me to combine the QS limits.
I'm really puzzled about why the hard pull happened. Any ideas what might've caused this?
Wouldn't be the first time that Credit Karma glitched. Could also be that for example Discover made a routine account review-driven soft pull and either they or Transunion quickly caught and rectified a boo-boo made in how the soft pull was coded.
