Discover SP?

How does a Discover SP show up on your credit report? Would it say Discover or something else? Also, which report do they SP for preapproval?

By definition, a soft inquiry only appears in credit reports available to the consumer, such as those obtained via annualcreditreport.com.

Soft inquires do not show in reports provided to others.

Soft pulls show only on reports you get directly from CRAs, whether through free annual credit report mechanism, after a fraud resolution or paying for them. They have to be obtained directly from CRAs by you. That's why you don't see them on myFICO, CK, CCT etc pulls. Discover pulls EQ or TU, depending on your geographic location.

I don't have a report with SP's to refer to but the SP's should show up the same way as the HP's.  Inquiries from Discover show up as Discover Bank on my TU and EQ reports.
