Discover SSA 89

Hey Fico Family,

I recently applied to Discover for another card got approved for 3K decided not too keep card SL too low for BT. I have currently discover account that has been open since 07/2015. I recently have been having an issue with my EQ credit report so I disputed this account bal with EQ. EQ did not have any of my information accurate and lenders have not been able to obtain my credit report from EQ. Spoke with EQ they said they have no system issues. But I think is this a bigger problem than what they stated too me.

Amex ED: 8K, Macys Amex: 4K , BOA Premium Rewards: 60K , Best Buy Visa: 7K , VACU Mastercard: 11.5K Discover: 25K, Amex Delta Reserve 15k, Apple Card:3.5K, Saks WEMC 16.2K, PNC Cash Unlimited: 20K

EQ did not have any of my information accurate and lenders have not been able to obtain my credit report from EQ. What info isnt correct. Personal info? What do you mean creditors cant obtain your credit report. For what?

Spoke with EQ they said they have no system issues. But I think is this a bigger problem than what they stated too me.

EQ is a mess yes. But some of what you posted isnt making sense. Unless you have a split file possibly. Clarify please so we can figure this out. Thanks!

Whats SSA 89 mean too in your title.

Wow, it seems several things are going on here so let's see if we can unravel this mystery.

It appears some creditors wanted verification of your SSN -- yes or no?

Is your SSN incorrect on your Equifax report?

If there are several incorrect things on your EQ report, I suggest sending them a letter "certified--return receipt requested."

Since you already had a Disco card, did you try for a CLI before applying for another card?

You took the HP for the 2nd Disco and $3K is not a bad amt, why close?  You could have just SD the card.

What balance are you disputing? If 1st Diso card, why? What's going on? Also, why dispute a card balance with CRA instead of with CCC? If disputing 2nd Disco CL, I'm at a loss here because there's nothing to dispute. All I'm trying to ascertain here is what's going on?  What is what and which is which?

And finally, what is your specific question you need assistance with?

|| AmX Cash Magnet $40.5K || NFCU CashRewards $30K || Discover IT $24.7K || Macys $24.2K || NFCU CLOC $15K || NFCU Platinum $15K || CitiCostco $12.7K || Chase FU $12.7K || Apple Card $7K || BOA CashRewards $6K

Re: Discover SSA 89

What does a social security request have to do with your issues with Eq? EQ is by far the worst cba imo and are really incompetent with our info , again imo. Be careful closing a card just because its limit wasnt sufficient. Next time lender may not be so quick to approve ( this just my personal feeling)

Re: Discover SSA 89

So I have been getting letters from creditors saying no credit report found for instance I have rocket mortgage check my credit they were not able to pull EQ no freezes no locks nothing. Something leads me too believe discover attempted the same but then they pulled EX. So now its probably raising a red flag that one bureau says no credit report found but my EX report is full of credit history. I spoke with EQ they literally said oh its because of your new address.

You need to pull your annual credit report for EQ. If it isnt the free time of the year. Then pay for it and find out what the heck is going on. None of this is making sense still. Sorry. Were trying to help you.

And again what does SSA 89 mean?

SSA 89 is a social security number identification form. Basically you fill it out and it gives the Social Security Administration the go ahead to verify your name matches your social.

It sounds like OP is going for a mortgage and they can't pull EQ. Probably yet another split file. They seem to be popping up quite a bit lately.

Re: Discover SSA 89

Call EQ. I know one major PITA. Smiley Mad And tell them no one, even you, cant pull your reports. You suspect a split file. Or "mixed" as I went thru that 2 yrs ago with them applying for a card. They have to go thru some things that bled over onto your personal info and caused this. They may ask to have you send in certain documents to prove you are you. Its going to be a battle with them being lame. Pack a lunch. This may take a while with the bimbos. Good Luck!
