I received an alert today that there was an inquiry on my EQ today from Comcast - Chicago. I already have service from Comcast, but it is my husband's name. We have not recently asked them for any kind of product. Also I live in the southeast, nowhere near Chicago. So I disputed it. I contacted Comcast and they said they are showing nothing under my SSN. How long does it normally take for EQ on a dispute like this? Any advice? I am really annoyed and worried as to how this happened. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Just an update - this is turning into a nightmare. Spent two hours on the phone with Comcast. Going to have to file a police report and place a fraud alert on accounts.
