Dispute Question

If you dispute an item on your credit report, does it change the date it will be removed from the credit report? I have one scheduled to come off in Sept 2009, but I think that it was not supposed to be there. I do not want to dispute if it will change things.

Any advice would be great!

If the DOFD/DOLA is reported incorrecly then YES it can change the removal date.
