I disputed an account with Transunion in June 2010 which they concluded that I had paid this account, I had a letter from the collection Agency where I paid it off so with that I guess it was enough. It is July 2010 and I get up this morning and do a soft pull and there they are again the same Collection Agency, Same account and same balance as when I first Disputed it in June. This account went with a Zero balance for an entire month and all of a sudden it appears and when I called TRU they said the Collection Agency can put what they want on my report and I have to prove it does not belong on there, I asked her could she look at the dispute history and she would see where the same account had been cleared by Transunion in June and she said it does not matter that I will need to dispute it again, this is the third time and now I feel TRU is as much at fault as the Collec tion agency. Where will this end? what can be done when I am told that a collection agency can keep putting the same account on my credit over and over? Who is at fault the CA or CRA? and what can be done to keep this from happening again?
The fault is with the collection agency not TRU. TRU is only reporting what is on your credit profile. How long ago did you pay the account off ?
May 2nd 2010, I disputed it on June the 10th and Transunion corrected it but then on July 12 it showed up again.
Paying a collection does not get it deleted from your credit report.
No, it does not get it deleted but it WAS corrected. Now it is showing unpaid again.
Contact the CA and tell them they need to update whatever media they use to report to the CRAs
I had my Military Consumer relations officer contact the Company and they admitted I had a 0 balance and would not comment on why it keeps getting reported to the CRA's, I filed a Complaint with the BBB in IL and also contacted an Attorney in the same State to file against the Company because I have been dealing with them for 3 months and and being an injured Service member I don't have time to file a dispute every month. This Collection Agency has put me and my family thru it and the CRA TRU has backed them the whole way by aloowing them to do this and not going back the previous month and pulling the dispute that corrected the account in the beginning and telling me that a collection Agency has the right to put anything they want on my Credit Report. I will treat them the way they have treated me but legally.

Your complaint is still with the CA and not TU. TU only puts on your report what is given to them by the creditor. And they are almost correct. CAs are allowed to put whatever they want on a CR within the guidelines of the FDCPA and the FCRA.
There are several ways a CA can send this information. One of them being a tape. If they do not fix the tape it will continue to be entered on your CR. That is why in my previous post I suggested you ask the CA about updating their media.
