Disputing

I ordered my report via Fico, for Equifax, but would like to do a dispute online.  On Equifax.com, to do an online dispute, they are asking for a 10 digit number that I received with my report. Unless I am totally missing something, it feels as if they want you to buy your report directly from them to do a dispute online?

 

Can someone correct me if I am wrong.

If you haven't already, pull your free annual reports-- see link below.

 

To dispute with EQ online you do need a report #.

 

If you've been denied credit in the last 90(I think) days and they pulled EQ you can get a free report that way as well.
