My husbands TU report had five collections deleted recently by the CAs after he settled them. Will Experian and Equifax eventually update and delete also? The CAs reported to all three CRAs but it seems only TU is updated. Why would a CA report the same debt at different times of the month to the bureaus instead of simply reporting it all at once to all three bureaus? That would make sense.
Have you pulled a recent report to see if they’ve been removed and/or updated? If not, I’d suggest doing that and if they still exist submit the PIF, SA, or GW document received from creditor attached to a new dispute with the CRA’s they still exist on.
Sometimes the CRA’s have to get a kick in the butt, Credit One had to contact them three times to have an account removed from a GW letter. This was EQ which has been the worst.
If it has been updated on the report then you are fine, just takes sometime for monitoring services to catch the changes or in some cases they won’t as they aren’t triggered until you pull a new report.
And if you don’t want to pay for a new report remember you entitled to a free report once a year, and TU and EX now both give free copies of your report when you go to start a dispute . EQ does give them but usually only if you’ve been denied a credit increase, or application based in the last 60 days. Hope this helps.
