Do you think a 720 score is better than a 721 score? (comparing profiles)

EXCLUDING MORTGAGES!!! Car loans and credit cards, ect..

PERSON A
23 accounts
1 30 day late
2 inqs
long history
15% UTL
score 720

PERSON B
12 accounts
0 lates
0 inqs
shorter history
1% UTL
score 721

Do you think person A has better credit or does score still trump all these days?

Depends on the creditor!!
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Depends on how long the history is.  I would probably bet on person A.

Short history and no inquiries? That wouldn't be TU would it? Smiley HappyLots of variables. 12 accounts might be considered a thin file by some lenders. A appears to have left a few points on the table with his/her utilization. How short is the history for B?

Are those real scores? I would expect Person B to have a much higher score (assuming age is over 2 years - but it would be hard to obtain 12 accounts in 2-3 years).

Not really. I got 14 accounts in 3 months if you want to include a car loan and a refinance on the same. Yeah they count don't they?

But did you have a long established history when you acquired all the new accounts?

I think it is hard for someone to start with no history and obtain 12 accounts in 2 years.

Like MV it depends on the creditor, but i believe Person A would probably have a better chance at getting approved over person B, because of history! Their credit file will reflect stability and show whether that person is a risk or not! I also believe that many creditors would overlook the 30 day late!
Rebuilding and Reducing Debt, is my game plan.

Yes I did. No history is different than a short history. I wonder how short the history is for B in this case.
