So I know that the original app with Capital One is a hard pull from all 3 bureaus but does anyone know who and what score they use for CLIs? I know that it is a soft pull.
Also, synchrony bank and NFCU. What score do they use for initials applications?
Maybe I'm not typing the right question in but I can't find what I'm looking for in the forums.
thanks for any help!
Capital One, could be any one of the big three. For me, it's usually Equifax.
Synchrony WAS using TU Fico 8 scores for applications, but that might be migrating over to Vantage 4.0.
NFCU uses TU Fico 9 scores for credit card applications, and EQ Fico 9 scores for loan applications.
Ok thank you! With capital one, is that Fico 8?
also, where could I find my vantage 4.0 scores?
I don't know if all Synch cards provide a free score but mine does and can be found on the site where I pay my bill.
Not a lot of lenders or other sites provide V4 to date but my TUV4 with Synch has matched TUV3 so far for the past year.

Cap1 definitely known to do 3 hps.
Haven't found any monitoring services yet providing V4 scores.
The only place to see them through my experience is if you have a Syncrony account and they provide an updated V4 score monthly.

For me it was always a time delayed EQ FICO 5, but I haven't been with Capital One for a couple of years.

Capital One pulls EQ 5, like SJ said, and they perform AR every 4 months.
You would need to look at your CR to see when they did AR, as that's the score that will be used for the next 120 days.
In so many ways, score isnt really relevant to Cap One, usage is.
Ok thank you everyone!
