Dup Collections & Truecredit Confusion

First time writer, long time reader Smiley Wink If I'm repeating an earlier question, I apologize, but I could really use some help!!

I am a subscriber to truecredit. After making much effort and headway with things, I pulled my CBR today and found that EVERYTHING listed was last reported in June 2007. Many things have changed since June--how come this does not show as current? And will pulling a FICO report show me current activity?

Also, and more importantly, I have two items in collections. Oddly enough, they are both the SAME account, but sold to two different CAs. Nrthestcrcol and Commonwealth Financial both report this medical account as opened on 06/2005. Commonwealth last reported it 7/05, while Nrthestcrcol last reported it 12/06. I contacted the OC in the hopes of settling the matter with them and  was told they would take my money but would not contact both CAs. I politely declined the offer.

I subsequently called (yes, I know, very VERY bad) the CAs. One I could not reach, and the other said it was not their problem that they were reporting a dup debt. I did not admit to the debt (don't know if that matters) but rather told them I would be filing a dispute. (Empty threat until I spoke to someone hereSmiley Happy)

I know this was long winded, but I could use some of that great advice so readily given around here. I thank you in advance for any help you could throw my way!

Re: Dup Collections & Truecredit Confusion

Hi Baci.    If this is a hospital......some states have no SOL.......but SOL applies to other medical bills.

IMO    all medical bills should be paid.

The CAs  are reporting     the date that the were assigned or bought the account.  All report dates even if it were yesterday are correct!  They can not chang the DOFD or DOLA.

The DOFD or DOLA  would be the month after you received service. If you received treatment on 1/2000     DOLA would be  1/2000     DOFD  would be 2/2000 or up to 180 days from 2/2000.

This would drop from CR  & years from that date.

Your SOL  usually goes by DOLA  or the actual date that you were treated or service.

IF you are within SOL  they can file a lawsuit any time up to the Last day of the month before SOL is past.

A  DV should always be sent to any CA

If past SOL  you would still send a DV    some will delete after a fight & they know that they can not collect.

After DV     If they answer it within 30 days    you can then try a PFD    but never before they answer the DV with complete answers.

DV  are always sent  CMRRR

Do NOT  sign any letters to a CA!!!!!!!   just type your name

DV  the first CA...Commonwealth    Usually because they stopped reporting  the assignment was cancelled & turned over to a second CA..........send DV to them  CMRRR      they should delete  if not wais & see if they answer within 30 days.
