I thought I had defaulted before 2000, but the dates they're showing don't match that.

Why don't you copy and paste all of the info on these TLs so we can look at it.

Re: Duplicates on CR?

look at your CR  EX and TU   do you see drop off date...if so what does it say??

They can always try & collect no matter how old it is....They CAN NOT report after 7 years....in fact there is a 90 day limit when they MUST report.. In other words the OC must report CO no later then 90 days after CO......this keeps them from extending the 7 yr drop off.

They can NOT file suit after 4 years.

I have duplicates on my CR as well.  I didn't notice this until just a few minutes ago.  I have two accounts with Sears that have been in collections for several years.  I think the last time I sent a payment was 2002 or 2003.  I don't have any records anymore.  Anyway, I called Sears and they were able to refer me to Citibank's collection's department, who let me know of the collection agency handling my account.  I'm looking at my credit report and the agency that Citibank named isn't on my credit report, but LVNV Funding, Sears/CBSD, and CBUSASears are.  I've already sent a DV letter to the collection agency that Citibank named (RCS).  Do I send a DV letter to the others as well?  Do I dispute with all four?  There should only be two accounts...one was a Sears card and the other a Sears Plus account, but there are several different amounts on my credit report.  I'm not sure how to proceed.

Thanks.

It's a paper report, I didn't order it online. I'll just have to type what's in it.

CSC provided this report, so I'm not even sure how it stacks up to the actual information the CRA's have.

Also, one thing that immediately stood out to me too, is that the account numbers are different. Is that normal? Is that ok?

Also, notice how the dates between the 2 collections don't even match.

OK  both should be past SOL........If Im not mistaken  ATT is also Cingluar...this is dup reporting....UNLESS you have had 2 accounts.

Notify CRA that it is DUP reporting'
look at CR from EX and TU    there is a place that they will give you drop off date.

DO NO LOSE this hard copy as you might need it in a few years! It is your proof of DOFD.

If you can't find it call CRA & they will give it to you BUT...I would follow up and get it in writting from CRA by sending a latter CMRRR  and asking for it!

DISPUTE both on all CRA  that they are showing.  They might just drop.
IF it comes back verified....send DV letters CMRRR.....
After filing a dispute you will receive a new CR from each CRA that you disput with....this will have drop off date.  IF needed here is a DV letter....make all changes where needed!!!!!

FILE DISPUTES FIRST!!!!!

Re: Duplicates on CR?

I can't dispute the one with Calvary anymore because they won't remove it. I've disputed it so often that they listed on the account "consumer disputes this account information."

So what can I do now?

Also, the first delinquent date shows 11/2001 for one, and 05/2002 for another. Are those the DOFD's? Or are those delinquencies with the CA's so my DOFD is probably earlier?
