EQ Issues

Hi Guys - A little help

I have a collection that I had cleared from my EXP CR, I sent the same info to EX & TU, EX have said that the collection belongs to me.  Don't all the CRA have the same criteria to adhere to when looking at dispiutes ? hoow could one delete a collection an another not.  What do I do now with EQ ?

Also TU have not responded at all - any advice ?

On my collection, EQ states that date of last activity is 02/2002, abd the date maj. del 1st reported is 11/2006, when is this likely to be dropped ?

Thanks

Richard

Re: EQ Issues

RJ - Check that information from EQ - it doesn't make sense to have date of last activity as 2002 with a date of first delinquency 4 years later in 2006.  Anyway, if date of first delinquency is 2006, then seven years from that date [give or take a a few months]...

How long ago did you dispute with TU?  Has it been 30 days?

No, the CRA's all have their own criteria when evaluating disputes...

Re: EQ Issues

OK, well I would DV the collection agency to try to get some accurate information.  It sounds like they are reporting inaccurately, perhaps the 2006 entry is when they purchased the account, not actually the date of first delinq.  Either way, it's inaccurate, so I would dispute it with the CA, then dispute again with Eq.  Do you know about this collection?  I mean, the OC and all that?  Also, did you send your dispute to TU CMRRR?

Re: EQ Issues

OK I will DV the CA.  I know of this collection and paid it off before i knew i could negotiate to get thenegative information removed from my CR.

I did not send the dispute to TU CMRRR, do you suggest that I should ?
