EX, EQ, Navy, *Throws hands up*

So my 3rd statement is in process with Navy, last night showed my balance of $38.15 with no payment due which I schedule to pay already but I think it will actually be Monday when it clears and also Monday when the system official generates the statement (maybe today, it's usually the 8th).

Meanwhile though last week I was going over my Experian report (freshly pulled and accessed on Experian.com and went to file a few disputes and get a message that I could not be verified (SAY WHAT?) That was the beginning of my frustrations that just keep growing.

So I had to call the automated system and have a paper copy of my credit report mailed (received it yesteray... all 76 pages Smiley Tongue)

So take my report number and go online to file a dispute and get "sorry but our system is temporarily unavailable* (SAY WHAT?)

Okay so this morning since I want to be request CLI with Navy soon I go log in and get a new copy of Equifax... the page kept failing... I restart and go through entering all the information again to get into a report to start a new dispute and boom "We are sorry we can't verify you, please fax in yoru dispute with ID) SAY WHAT?

What is wrong with these systems, don't we as consumers and the banks pay them enough or is that just the problem, the banks pay them to much to have the system works correctly for the consumer that they were originally designed for... I swear the dispute process does not work the way it use to in the past, more and more these days I simply get responses like "account meets the requirements by fair credit reporting act to remain on your report" say what? because that isn't what I disputed at all so that makes me think that you are not actually sending things off anymore... banks and these collection agencies are no longer required to be the one to prove things to a reasonable doubt to stay, I as the consumer now have to be the one to prove to a reasonable doubt why it SHOULDNT stay... that is not the way it was designed to be!

So I have a hard copy EX report that I have to wait until Monday to call an overseas rep that doesn't even have a credit score and report of their own because they don't live in the US to work through a dispute.

Then I have to call Equifax also and try to verify myself again even though I access my report just fine until I want to file a dispute and do a manual dispute over phone also.

not sure i should even try TU right now... I might jump from my first floor window Smiley Tongue

LOL, the CRAs were never created with the consumer in mind they at first were for the exclusivity of the banks, they had to change to interface with the public once the FCRA came down the pike and they have hated the public ever since, it is evident in the wa y we are all treated (like they are dictators and we are riff raff)

I just filed a dispute with EX and EQ online and had no issues Besides the slowness of the upload of my documents. Maybe you should try it again. I understand the frustration as I have been dealing with the same thing. There has to be some measure of accountability on the part of the CRA. they just all seem to hide behind "that's what was reported by the OC". Good luck in your efforts

I was able to get through TU after 2 tries.
EQ I now am being required to send in documents to verify myself... STUPID... the information I am inputting matches my credit reports and I have accessed them at least 1 a month... how can they now say they can't verify me... STUPID

It happens.  Haven't had problems myself but my wife has run into verification issues with one of them recently.
