I have a equifax premiere membership that I canceled, I've had it for like 3 years but whenever I call to cancel they give it to me for practically free. But, last year I hit the lock my report button on my landing page and when I went to unlock it, it was a hassle. Equifax CSR stated they can't remove the lock permanently but once it will be removed for 12 months and then lock again, makes no sense to me but ok. Well it was about 5 weeks ago I noticed my report was locked and went online to the website and chatted and called csr to help me remove the lock. Everyone could not offer any assistance as there is some issue that is locking my report from there end. Weeks go by and no one contacts me, I email again the person who I am in contact with and just got this email back;

We understand your concern and apologize for any inconvenience that you have experienced.
After reviewing your account information and previous request, it shows that the Credit Report Unlock request is still being processed.
Our Technology Team is still working on getting this resolved.

Now I understand a few days or maybe even a week but this is five weeks later and they still can't figure it out. For anyone with a plan of theirs, be careful about hitting that lock button.
