Just as an update to this - spoke to someone far more helpful at Equifax today. She confirmed my EQ file was somehow missing my SSN, and that's what the problem is. So she gave me the fax number to their Dispute Department and told me to fax in a letter requesting the SSN update, along with proof of my SSN and address. And told me to call back in a week to doublecheck that the update went through.
So I guess the problem wasn't really Equifax policies, I just ended up with a completely unhelpful customer service rep the first time I contacted them.

That's great news, you exist again!!!
Some of the CSR's at EQ are, well, not so smart to put it politely.
Let us know the outcome.
I just faxed the info out this afternoon, so hopefully they'll have it fixed by the end of next week.
Not that I really want any more inquiries on my EQ report or anything, but it would be nice to know my credit file is fixed, at least. I have no idea HOW they got it set up without a social - or why they hadn't tagged a social on with 7 tradelines all reporting to them..
But hey, at least the CSR today was nice and helpful. I'm still going to have to call TransUnion back at some point and try to find out why they don't let me access my report online, but their customer service was.. bad.

When I had to fax over some documentation to EQ to have something updated it only took a few days, your situation would seem to be a little more involved, but hopefully EQ can get it done quickly.
Wishing you the Best my Friend.

She said the only thing they have to verify is my social - so they need the social security card. I just figure it'll take them a week since it's Christmas.
Not that I really NEED to have it fixed right this moment - but I'd love to know what my EQ FICO is! Tired of FAKO scores.

I am hoping that it is like 45 points higher than the EQ Fako you have in your siggy.
