Experian Dispute Notify Companies

Hey everyone, so I'm getting ready to app for two cards from AMEX and was going to wait till after my next statement so that my new FICO score shows up. I was going to do this because I paid down a substantial balance on one of my revolvers. The issue I had today was that they didnt send the correct balance to Experian, so I went to go and dispute. After disputing I see a link "notify companies." I was unsure of what it was so i clocked on it, and it revealed that Experian will push your updated credit report to the various lendors that are on your sheet. My question is, if they do this, will Experian update the fico score that they usually only post a couple days after statement cut? Does anyone have experience with this? Want to know so I can app for a card.

Re: Experian Dispute Notify Companies

The FCRA includes a provision that enables a consumer to request that a CRA, after resolution of a dispute, provide notice to those parties who have obtained a consumer report from the CRA within the last two years for employment purposes, or within the last 6 months for any other purpose, of the deletion of any information that has occured as a result of the dispute, or of any filing by the consumer of a statement contesting the outcome of an unfavorable dispute.  See FCRA 611(d).

It appears that the CRA is requesting advance notification of any consumer request to provide the required notification to prior parties who have pulled your credit report.

No, it does not extend to the providing any score changes.  The FCRA explicitly removes any CRA obligation to provide scores as a result of a dispute.
