If your name is John Doe and you see a former name of Fred Doe, and EX isn't removing the "Fred Doe" name when it isn't yours, then it is likely due because one or more creditors are actively reporting the Fred Doe name (probably happened with a typo from a CSR somewhere). The demographic codes come in handy so you can link to that problem creditor and notify them to stop reporting it and it'll be removed off your CR. Same goes for old addresses.

Wow! All I can say is give them a call. A very nice young lady walked me through it and I heard a lot of Delete, delete, delete including inquiries.
