Experian alert

I got an alert yestereday on Experian letting me know that there was an identity validation transaction yesterday matching my personal information on freecreditreport.com

It then says this,

If you still do not recognize the transaction, you may want to:

• Lock your Experian credit report here.
• Review your credit report for indications of identity theft
• File a police report             

It then says I can contact Experian at 1-855-962-6943 however I can't seem to get a live person there.

My questions is how worried should I be? I monitor my credit like crazy and something like this scares me a lot.

Not sure but be proactive and lock your reports. Check to see if there have been any recent attempts at obtaining credit in your name. Keep trying to contact Experian even through alternate phone numbers.
