So, I set out today to get my credit scores. I went to that goverment annual credit report site. So far, so good. I started with Equifax. I decided I wanted my score as well, so I paid 7.95 and got it.
I then tried to do the same with Experian. So, there I was on Experian's website. However, when I went to buy the score I seem to have ended up with FreeCreditReport.com. Does Experian have some special deal with them?
What gives?
Is FreeCreditReport.com even accurate?
FCR.com is a service provided by Experian.
The scores you'll get there are FAKOs.
The one you purchased from EQ may have been a FICO if it states FICO.
Any you get from EX or a third party site will be a FAKO.
TU does offer a TU FICO at a special website they have, but not their regular website.
You can not get your EX FICO form anywhere directly.
