Experian inconsistencies

I just ordered my reports and saw that I have a Cap one that is scheduled to drop in April, however, its showing on my Experian report that I am 30 days late one time, 60 days late 1 time and 90 days late all 2008. It is showing that my Date of Last Activity was April 2002. How is this possible? They just started reporting and I'm assuming it's because it's due to drop in April.

Can anyone tell me what I should do? Should I dispute the late payments since I haven't made a payment since 2002? I'm trying to clear my CR, but I've read on here that if something is about to drop then do not bother with it.

I need help!!

Thanks a lot!

I guess I got my answer though. Do not dispute. It just makes it looks like its recent and it isn't.

There's nothing to dispute anyway. In fact, if you had, speaking from a personal bad experience for DW, CapOne would have added multiple lates where there were none before and update the "reported date" to present. Your scores really would have tanked.

Re: Experian inconsistencies

Is this an unpaid CO? If so, they can report lates every month from DOFD up to the point the TL is paid or settled or sold. DW had one and it reported 90 days + (26 of them) every month up to the point it was sold.

Re: Experian inconsistencies

It's unpaid. But they just started reporting again. It's like they took a vacation and decided that it's time to start reporting again. This thing is so old.

Thanks for the response.
