My friends in college didn't like me for this and I just HATE HATE HATE being a nay say-er ... but ... I have had things deleted through disputes and I don't exactly understand what you meant by dispute denies but if this is the same process as getting things deleted through disputes, I have had success and then had all the bad information come back at the end of the month. Got it deleted again and then came back at the end of the month.

The bottom line was that it doesn't matter if the CRAs delete it, if whoever is reporting to the CRAs doesn't correct the information they are reporting or stop reporting altogether than there is a strong chance that any delete is just a temporary delete.

Just saying you should keep your eyes peeled and don't get your hopes up. If it stays off then congratulations!

So, I instead ask to talk to someone in dispute. I want to call back tomorrow. Really!

Hello Everyone,

I am just starting out in trying to untangle the mess of my credit. I just found this forum and it is a GODSEND!!

 I have contacted Experian and the other CRA's to dispute several things. All I got back from Trans union was a form letter telling me to contact my creditors. How do I get more information or help from them?

Experian deleted about 5 negative items off of my report. So I am glad that I did contact them.

However, I have a question there are about 4 other things that they "verified/updated". Now the dates for these things to come off my report are Nov. 2017!! The intial date of deliquency was back in 05. When I transferred jobs and relocated to a new city My prior employer refused to pay me for the time I worked and all of the expenses I wracked up on personal and a corporate credit cards for corporate travel. So I had to get these account paid off in time which I did as of last year.

 My question is how can my drop off date go to Nov. 2017? Which is 10 years after the dates of my inquiry of Nov. 2007? Is this legal and how do I fight this?

I am afraid to do another investigation as I don't want another 10 years added to the time before they drop off.

 Because if the bad reports occured in 05 shouldn't they come off around 2011? I am in the process of trying to re establish my credit to purchase a house and some rental property. I have 2 major lines of credit through my business and I have several mc/visa's in my name that I have kept in good standing. I paid off all of my outstanding debt from that period 2 years ago and started using all cash for everything. I have paid off my car and the only outstanding debt I have is on a personal loan that I am paying off and my student loans which I fear I will NEVER pay off!! :-) 

However, my credit is still in the toliet at Transunion-586, Equifax-620, Experian-620 as of the last credit report I pulled last month. What else can I do to help my scores?
