Experian score vs TU & EQ

I had a legit dispute with the credit agencies. I had a problem with equifax and experian actually investigating it. All they did was " update " it about an hour after I submitted my dispute.

So I disputed again with the same results.

I then filed a complaint with CFPA and it was to be removed. I see it has been removed from equifax but not experian and its been almost two weeks, maybe three.

Also, was wondering ; I used my credit card and it lowered my score with experian but raised it with equifax , why is that ?

It seems TU, Equifax are going up and Experian just sits there.... goes down because I used my one credit card.

Whats up with experian ?

Re: Experian score vs TU & EQ

You're overlooking something and we can't tell you what that is since we don't have access to your reports.  To determine the cause for any scoring change you have to carefully review reports before and after the change.  How did you determine that "using your credit card" caused the change in all 3 cases?  What usage specifically caused the change?

Re: Experian score vs TU & EQ

Thank you for your reply.

I pay for the myfico monitoring and score services.

I determined the changes due to the one collection coming off that shouldn't have been there. It was an insurance payment that was auto deducted and I was unaware it was on my report, because it was paid.  When I proved it was paid prior to it being sent collections they determined it should be removed. It was removed from equifax and TU which raised my score.

The monitoring from myfico is stating that using my credit card lowered my score with experian but states it raised it with equifax.  Its not a big jump or anything , but I'm curious as why it would do that ?

Is experian slow updating the reports when a collection should come off ?

I was going to do a screen shot but I'm really new here and wondering if its safe , better yet.. How to do it ...

Re: Experian score vs TU & EQ

google tinypic and use that to post pics, its quick and easy!

or its probably tinypic.com

Are all of your reports updating at the same time?

My experience with credit report companies and things coming off is, none of them are the same and you could do it twice with different results.  Id wait about a month before I started to worry.  Sometimes they are slow.

I dunno about the lowering one and raising the other.  Maybe they have different utilizations reporting?

*edit*
is it safe?  You bet!  At the least, blur out/scribble over your last name/personal information and any account numbers.

Re: Experian score vs TU & EQ

I have noticed the same thing with my scores - one agency shows an increase in score and the other shows a decrease - usually only a point or two - for the exact same item. I did get a five point drop on Equifax one time because the reported balance on one of my cards (I PIF) had decreased from one month to the next. I really don't care too much about a point (or five) change either way as long as the long term results are an overall increase from year to year.
