Experience dealing with fraudulent transactions for Capital One?

Anyone have any feedback on dealing with Capital One for a fradulent transaction?  I've had cards with them for 3yrs and change and found a suspicious transaction from this weekend.  The transaction was concessions at BofA stadium (based on the dollar amount it matches  a tall boy domestic beer with a $1 tip), but it occured this Saturday, 2wks after the last time I was at the stadium and at an hour that the stadium wouldn't be serving yet (there was a Metallica show Saturday night) and it was supposedly a contactless transaction FWIW.  Got a new card coming after speaking to two representatives tonight (hoping I don't get stuck with plastic cause I have a metal version of the discontinued Savor variant currently) and hopefully there's no issues getting this resolved.  It's just a PITA cause this card is my daily driver that easily gets the most usage.

Based on your familiarity of the charge, I'd guess they forgot to close a batch, or they settled a batch late for some reason. A charge can take a week or two to post depending on their specific circumstances.

Current active cards:
Amex - Platinum, BCE
BofA - Unlimited Cash Rewards Sig
Chase - CSR, Amazon Prime
Citi - Custom Cash, Costco Visa
TCL - $315k
CC utili - 2%
Experian - 804

You would think in this day and age, it would all happen a lot faster than 2 weeks.

In theory it's possible, but seems odd that they would wait 2wks, especially when there was another game that I didn't go to (sold my ticket and stayed in my town for a local game) in between my last visit and when the charge was made.  According to the C1 rep it was contactless and  initiated on 5/31 at 3:59pm.  I've already been credited for it so we'll see what happens.

If my last visit hadn't been 2 weeks before the charge was inititated, and that I've never had that sort of experience (this is my 4th year with season tickets and I've never had a charge take this long to appear) I'd be more apt to chalk it up to that.  What worries me is what I mentioned above to GZG that the C1 rep said the charge was contactless inititated at 3:59pm on 5/31 .  If it were just pending for a long time and finally posted after a couple weeks that wouldn't bother me so much.  Nonetheless C1 has credited me already and I'm awaiting their investigation.
