FCRA dispute

I have one account on Experian that shows 0 balance, disputed & meets FCRA guidelines. How do I get that information to the other reporting agencies?

Re: FCRA dispute

What’s the exact nature of your question?  What information to other reporting agencies?

”Meets FCRA Requirements” means that the debt/reporting has been found to be complaint with the FCRA laws.  I’m assuming your disputed this debt. These comments left do not mean that you “won” the dispute, but instead that the debt/reporting has been affirmed.

Re: FCRA dispute

What exactly did you dispute as being inaccurate?

As for reporting of results of a dispute with one CRA to the other CRAs, the CRAs are not required to share dispute results data amongst themselves.  To get a dispute on each CRA file, you must dispute through that CRA.

The FCRA does, however, place the burden on the party who reported disputed information to a CRA ("furnisher") to make any changes found to be necessary as the result of a dispute resolution (i.e., correction or deletion) with all CRAs to which the disputed information has also been reported.  FCRA 623(b)(1)(D).

Thus, while the disptue comments wont be entered into all CRA files, if the dispute has compelled correction or deletion of information, it is not then necessary for the consumer to then initiate new and separate disputes with each of the the other CRAs in order to get the same crrection made into the files of each CRA.  The furnsher is required under the FCRA to take on that responsibility themselves.

In the situation, such as in the posted scenario, where the dispute with a single CRA is verified to be accurate as reported (i.e., no correction or deletion was made), there is no need for the furnisher to provide any notification to the other CRAs,
