Is there a way to call the FTC and inquire about specifics of the FCRA?  Has anyone ever tried this with any luck?

The phone number is 1-877-382-4357.  They are open from 9:00-9:00.  I will be calling them and let everyone know how it goes.

I think the best way to figure it out is with time and a couple cups of coffee. Too bad there isn't a Cliffnotes for the FCRA, or FCRA for Dummies.

Spoke to the FTC. Very helpful.  Way easier then trying to figure it out by reseach.  FYI..contact them with any FCRA questions.  It will save a lot of time if you are unsure about anything.

If it's ok to ask what type of specific information were you trying to find? I've found that the "regulations published" are confusing to read. A lot of exclusions published contradicts what is stated. I will have to go back and read again and post an example.
