FICO Resilience Index Data Points

*too many open credit cards* according to Equifax.

doesn't specify a number for moderation.
I thought 7 cards was kindergarten on here, lol

Key words are "on here". The average person only has 3-4 cards and doesn't apply for credit unless they need it.

I was getting that red flag on the Resilience Score for having 4 cards, I added a 5th last month, it's apparently just too much to bare lol.

The resiliency index drops that code when revolvers and *open* installment loans are at no more than a 1:1 ratio.

I saw this first hand when my SO had some changes in his EQ CR.

Thankfully (not really lol) I have like 12 *open* installment loans, so I am good for up to a dozen open revolvers.

Research show most have more like an acerage of 2 +/- revolvers. So throw in a SL, mortgage, and/or auto loan, it would keep you in the ok range.

So if you had 12 installment loans and 12 CCs, that would not be considered "too many", where as someone else could have 1 installment loan and 2 CCs, and that would be considered "too many".

Edit: and AU accounts count in this calculation, as I saw with my SO.

He had 3 personal revolvers and 1 AU revolver and 3 open installment loans and got that code. When his old SLs were readded back on, the code went away, bringing him to 4 total revolvers (including AU) and 7 open installment loans.

Thanks for taking the time to respond . I've read many times on here that 3cc/1inst is the sweet spot.

For "regular" scoring, yes. For the Resiliency Score, no, it is 1:1.
