It was with great trepidation that I ignored my scorewatch alerts, and refused to look at my EQ score, or update my TU. I was suddenly terrified after hanging on the edge of 699 for next to forever! Okay it was a few weeks, but it felt like forever! I realized that my oldest tradeline, by far, was going to fall off. Sure, it was a baddie, but I didn't think it was hurting that much, and I thought it was going to hurt more to lose. I had a student loan to go bad, and I rehabbed it. The Gurantor collection was immediately removed, but the old loan servicer was still on there as "claim filed with gov't"/"$0 balance". I was satisfied, because the new loan servicer just won't seem to report.
Finally, the old tradeline fell off. I started getting scorewatch alerts that I absolutely ignored. I was so scared that with my new accounts last fall, that I was going to be back to low 600s or something.
Curiosity finally got the better of me. Apparently, my big baddie was really hurting me still. I broke 700, and I didn't just creep over the line. I am officially a low credit risk! So, from the FICO sub-basement almost 7 months ago, where my scores were barely 500, I am a now a member of the 700 Club!

Starting Score: 469I want to be in that club. I'm on the outside lookin in, I'm almost there. I have one more baddie on my CR. It's scheduled to come off April 2009. I hope that will give me the push I need to be on the inside looking out. I'm currently at a 692.
Congrats to you.
Congrats.
I hope to be joining you soon. After a long credit repair my scores are 675, 674, and 720. The bad thing is that the 720 was Experian and now I can't see that any longer.
