First Credit Card in a while

I just receive my first credit card since probably three years ago when all my cards were closed.  Is a Capital One, 300 cl, for me is awesome right know. Still waiting for Orchard Bank card!  My Fico from EQ is 574 so I think two cards is a miracle!!!!
I have been working every day trying to fix my husband and my credit. So far what I have:   1. Forclosure deleted ( it was old)  Still have to dispute in other two.
2. Wells Fargo reported paid as agreed and apparently removed late payments on another mortgage. I can't believed.
3. Health Insurance have paid thousands on medical bills that are on my DH and my credit. Still waiting for the CA to receive payments.

Thanks to everybody in the forum.

Re: First Credit Card in a while

Can I use the available credit and paid in full when the statement arrive.  How is the best way to rebuild the credit?  Or should I use only $25 of the CL and paid in full or leave a small balance may be $5.00. Thanks

Yes I did, actually a few timesSmiley Happy But still have a question:   Does a $0 balance or 1-9% balance makes a difference?

Yes... 1-9% is ideal.

Re: First Credit Card in a while

I still don't get the Capital one thing...sometime this year they will be reporting crdit limits on all acounts. For those of us who don't have credit limits reported, what is the real deal with Capital one and how to work those cards the best?

If they report high balance each month, should you make sure that whatever balance is reported on the statement date is between 1-9% of the highest balance you used that month?

You got 8K in new CL's, I can believe you are even discussing CrapOne.
Pay them off and forget about them.

As I have stated before- CrapOne will not report CL's unless they are forced to.
Will they be forced to by the end of the year? I don't know.

I do know their is legal activity with them about this and legislation in the works about this. They have also shortened their cycles giving shorter time frame to pay your bill to 25 days.

I am done with them making any money off of me.
