First DV - "Delivery attempt unsuccessful"

I just sent out my first DV letter to a CA.   The PO is saying that they left a notice and it has not been picked up yet.   What if they refuse to pick it up?   What should I do then?
 
And if they do pick it up and just never respond then what happens?

Hi Tim, The CA will pick it up. It happened the same in my case, then they picked the letter from the PO. Chanduwar
