Re: Forclosure

A forclosure remains on your credit reports for 7 years from the date of the filing.

Re: Forclosure

Is there a way to dispute the filing of a forclosure on your credit report if the property was saved from forclosure and the outstanding balance brought current?

I have a property that almost went to forclosure, the lawyers contacted me and all; but I worked out and agreement with the lender and brought everything current, the problem now is that it's still showing up on my credit report 2+ years later. Is there a way to justify removing it from my credit report? It's like a huge ink stain on a white shirt, it just won't go away!

Thnx!
